Familiarity with Sage 50 leads to an easy transition to the Sage 200 Suite which accommodates multiple users and sites comfortably. It offers a much greater functionality and is designed to accommodate any customisations or bespoke applications/modules to achieve a perfect fit with a company requirements.
Major differences can be found throughout the system, most significantly are perhaps the areas of management reporting, business information, stock, discount and pricing structures and of course it overall flexibility.
Management reporting
Versatile coding structure. Nominal Ledger postings are controlled and periods closed off when figures have been agreed.
Stock
Different stock locations can be handled independently, in terms of replenishment, sales, reporting and stock takes: serial and batch controlled items can be managed; buying and selling in different units of measure is fully supported.
Price Book
Easily manage prices and discounts across the customer base. Supporting two types of pricing schemes discount-based and price-band based, it allows you to create communities of customers to attach either kind of scheme or combine the two.
